Imperator Angel and SPS

Hi Guys,

IÃ"šÃ‚´m thinking a lot in this fish.

I would like to buy a juvenile, but IÃ"šÃ‚´m afraid, because I have a SPS only reef and five clams.

Who has this fish with SPS and clam ? He nips ( or eat) a lot or just sometimes ?

I have a 160G with a lot of SPS and clams

Clams are a big risk with any angel, SPS should be OK with most of the large ones but truthfully your tank is too small for an emp IMO. I do think you could do a majestic or a Red Sea regal (especially the regal) as both of these are safer and stay smaller than an emp.

I will buy a TINY one.....really small in my LFS....when he grow up I will sell him

Imperator is a awesome fish !

I did the same and after 18 months I came home and he wasn't hungry because he began eating my clams. Try an angel from the genus Genicanthus .
