Impressive Tank Escape

Not sure how it ended up in the overflow, or how long it had been there. Left on a trip saturday morning and everything was normal. Got home tonight to find my clown in the overflow? Who knows? I pulled the foam pad and pluged the pipe off so I could get him out without him going down the water slide.

my yellow watchman goby did the same thing last week. i didnt even think to use the blue filter pads, but my hand couldnt fit down there anyway. he ended up going down the slide but hes just fine now.

He is now happy living in his new home, the sump. I have a spawning pair in the tank that had been happily cohabitating the tank with him/her for about 6 mouths. I had noticed some increased activity between them the last week so I'm speculating that they finally caused him to take a leap of faith and he got lucky!

I know it does sorta look like an anemone.
