how long can a mushroom, snails, or shrimp stay in bag or other container

closed?
open?

curious...i dont have anything in bags @_@ so no worries

i think they can stay in a bag a few days, as long as the bag is filled with O2 not regular air. is seen shipments of freshwater fish ship 2 day air this way.

what if the bag/container is open to the air

Indefinitlly as long as water is at correct temp, AND you change water at least once a week

so if i brought this stuff tomorrow i could hold it till monday in an open bag (in a box to keep it from spilling over)?
there is this place i can buy all this from
where i am staying for the weekend is closer....where the tank these guys would go in is farther away (about an extra hour farther away)
and it would defiantly be cheaper to go and buy them myself then to pay for shipping

trying to save on shipping and a longer car ride but wanna make sure they will all be ok

should be fine for as long as you keep the temp good. also a air pump wouldn't be a bad idea. you can get a battery powered one for about $10

oh cool i didnt know that they had battery powered ones
and i have an extra little heater so the temp wouldnt be an issue

thank you very much :) im hoping the mushroom rock i saw the other day is still there
it was a long branching piece of live rock with different colored mushrooms on it...VERY pretty
