In search of a pair of latezonatus

I am looking for a pair of latezonatus clownfish. Can anyone point me in a direction.

Good Luck , I don`t think they let many in the trade . Also they do not ship well and are magnets for Brooklynella . I have seen a pair for sale a few years back for $650 .

Dave, did you see them in person or on their "website". I just tried to buy two of them and it says quantity not in stock. If you are just going by their web site I could give you a list of half a dozen places that have them. Of course they don't really have them, and even after they have your money I'd bet they couldn't get them to you in less than six months. Good luck finding a pair, thay are hard to come by, unless you haver connections in New South Wales.

There seems to be a lot of misconceptions about Latz clowns so I thought I would chime in.
First off, they are a difficult fish to find but not impossible. I know of about 30-40 that came in a couple of months ago and as long as you are persistant and have a good LFS you should be able to get one or two if you are willing to wait a couple of months. You can also try the main online vendors as they get them from time to time but I recommend getting on a waitlist because Latz rarely last long enough to even make on their sites.

As far as durability goes, I find Juveniles to be pretty hardy and as long as you're willing to use proper meds like copper and formalin they are generally pretty easy. Adults on the other hand can be tricky as they are the ones that do not ship well and are prone to gettting many marine pathogens. I have yet to see any issue with keeping these fish at regular reef tank temps.

Don't know much about latz clown. Anybody have pics. Also, are they more prone to have problem after settling down in the aquarium? Are they weaker than normally WC clowns?

They're prone to blindness in captivity, even after years of being established.
