Ok I'm setting up my new 180. I was going to put my 75 that is drilled but it will not fit becouse of the stand so I'm going to use my 40 breeder wich is not drilled but is ready with baffles. I have a little giant 3 pump that is external only so I will have to drill the 40 or I have a quiet one that does over 1600 gph that I can run inside the sump. Wich way should I go???

I would use the Quiet one because the less bulkhead fittings in a system the better. Also if the pump were to have problems at some point and start leaking, I would rather that happen in the sump as opposed to on my floor. Another consideration is that an internal pump will add a little heat to the system and in Kansas City that could be a good thing. You may also want to consider a basement equipment room in which case would likely require a larger return pump.

Yea that sounds good to me . That way I don't have to drill a hole in my 40 wich I don't want to break.
