here's an acan (imo!)...from the barrier reef, 30 miles off the Coast of Cairns.....either a bowerbanki or hillae...can't tell
sorry...the only colourful corals I saw were the SPS....LPS were drab at best......you need to head to more temperate areas of the barrier reef to sneak a peak at the crazy rainbow acans....Keppel Bay would be a good place to start...it's part of the GBR, but has the distinction of being a near-shore reef (most of the GBR is off-shore)...it's was at the southern end of the GBR.
