In-Wall Protruding Aquarium Research

I stumbled across this picture of an in-wall build the other day and fell in love. I need to do this. However, I want to plan it out to do it right. I can't find a lot of information on the proper way to plan something like this.

I see it protrudes by being balanced on a 1/2" stainless steel plate. How far can an aquarium hang like that? Are supports needed to hold it down on the other side somehow? Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

I'm planning a 180 gallon tank, not sure on dimensions.

I do like that look.

It is not "hanging", the 1/2 plate is supporting the bottom....just as a traditional stand would. Without knowing the dimentions on it, I'd say there is atleast 18" of aquarium behind the wall. The steel plate could be anchored as well tk prevent it from tetering. As long as the base it's on is secure..it shouldn't go anywhere.

Yeah, bad phrasing on my part. Obviously, the majority of the plate/aquarium need to be on a stand, I'm just not sure how much needs to be. I wouldn't want to build something like that with a traditional base, have 25% unsupported by the base and risk the thing tipping/collapsing. I just wish I knew the rule/physics.
