indestructible little-green-featherduster or anemone?

I have a small patch of these bright green tubeworm/featherduster/anemone looking things. This patch has been slow to expand, but the last time I had them, I was unable to control them and I eventually had to toss the rock they were on.

My usual method of kalk-paste doesn't phase them. They grabbed it and retracted into their tubes, but reemerged happy as ever.

First, what's the right way to refer to these guys? Second, any tips on how to manage them?

Thanks for your advice!

Those appear to be tubeworms.
I'm not sure why you want them gone, since they're harmless to pretty much everything, but you could try breaking the tubes.

I had in my head from my previous experience with them that they might have a sting to them. If that's not the case, then I'm happy to leave them be :)

No, they don't sting. You can touch them if you're fast enough, and they're really soft.
Now, this is assuming that they actually have tubes and don't just curl into themselves. If they curl, they aren't tubeworms. If they definitely have tubes, you're fine.

They definitely have tubes. Cool. One less thing to worry about. Thanks!
