Indo Rose Anemones

I was checking to see if anyone wanted to go in on a group order... I found a local source, and they were willing to make a good deal on some nice big red roses from indo, not the ones from China. But in order to get the deal ($65 a piece) I have to meet at least 10. Is there anyone out there looking for any?

PM me for more info.:D

Did you check out O street. They have quite a few in stock... Don't know if they are indo or not but I think they were less than $60 a piece.

What's the difference between the Indo and the Chinese RBTA?

BTW - my RBTA just split. :P It split one day after I moved it to a temporary 55G tank. :D

The ones you see in the market are the ones imported from China. As they get bigger they will get a greener tint to them, thus they are cheaper.

Refugee, reason for it splitting is stress related. From one tank to another, I would suggest not to feed it for a week or such.

Bluenas... PM me

Well, I was able to speak with my source and get more information about the anemones.. I was told that they are about 5" across, hefty size anemones. I have been actively speaking with him to see if I can get it down to $50 a piece. I was then advised that it was manageable. Any more takers?

You wanna see some of the sickest anenomes you've ever seen, check out atlantisaquarium.net sight  Green and yellow tip RBTA's; RBTA's with green base and electric mottling :eek2:
Very wicked, if I were to get married to another one, it'd definately be one of those.

Dont know about China specifically, sounds to me like the collectors get them where they can get them. And wherever they are getting them, one area is not indicative of soley one morph color but several intermingled.

True rose anemone? A rose is a rose is a rose ;) From the lips several collectors, "we find them both in the same patch usually."

FWIW, the flood being referenced was both, with the majority being the ones with a bit of green. The exporters sell them both at the same price usually.

I've seen the green tinted loose the green as well.

Well, if you want the colored tips you are looking at a pretty expensive price, I know I would not be able to get them for that price. If you want them with the colored tips they are pretty hefty. I asked about them and I was not willing to shovel that kind of money.
