Info on Super MH Reflectors used at ARC

Hi Everyone,

I'd like some information about the Super metal halide reflectors used over many of the tanks at A Reef Creation.

I remember the owner of the store mentioning that these reflectors were extremely powerful--so much so that corals were bleaching out at one point!

What are they called?

Do they come in multiple sizes?

Experiences with them?

theyre called lumenbrite reflectors...there is a large one and another called the lumenbrite mini... no corals have been bleached and i can grow anything

Steve, if this is for your major grow (coral) operation plans I think LEDs would make your operation more economical.

I actually think they are Lumenarcs... they use a lumenbright over the large display tank with the powerbrites in the ceiling.

They are all lumen brights. No lumenarcs anywhere at ARC.

lumenarcs are square if im not mistaken, i have them on my tank, arc uses lumenbrights.

I just setup a grow out tank with a lumenbright reflector and the corals have never looked better!
