Initial Tank/Equipment Cleanup

Hey guys, I was just wondering how you guys like to clean the tanks/equipment/plumbing when its all new straight from the manufacturer. I've only had smaller tanks where I could wash it out easily in the shower or outside with a garden hose, and tanks that didn't require RO/Di. Is it necessary to clean all the equipment and tank with RO/DI water? Or do you guys just do a quick clean with regular tap water and then fill with RO/DI. Thanks

Also any advice for cleaning PVC/Skimmers/Etc

If you going to cycle your rock in your new tank then just do it. If you going to transfer your old tank over then after test leak with tap water dry as much as you can since you don't want to contaminate your new tank. As far as equipment a vinegar bath will take care of most.

I usually wash stuff out with a little vinerger and water.
With my new 240 gallon tank I washed it out with a little dish soap and water, then rinsed it really good.
I had to do a couple fill ups, testing new equipment.
The vinerger helps remove any oils on it from the manufacturing.
