Input on connecting 2 plastic conntainers for sump

I have a 90 gallon that I am building a sump for...

Space is limited in my stand...

My plan is to use two plastic containers..


One for the sump which will have the return, pumps, heater and skimmer.

The other will be the refugium..

My thoughts for connecting them together was using uniseals and 2 1 1/2" PVC Pipes...

I think this would enough pipe to keep the water even...

But should I do anything to have some flow in the refugium..

It should work. I personally would use bulkheads. The great thing about uniseal is the curved surface challenge. If I had a flat surface I would use a bulkhead all day long.
