Installing a baffle in a running tank?

I have a 2 tank system right now. Both of them are sharing a sump. (I have one return pump. Which pumps water to the highest tank, then drains to the second, and back down to the sump. )

I'd like to add a acrylic baffle to my glass sump...which means draining it. Is there a way to speed up the silicone drying time? Hair dryers? Any ideas?

All my heaters, and controllers are in the sump, and moving them to one of the tanks would be a pain. I think both displays would be fine for 6-8 hours with just the tunze pumps running. The silicone I have says 24hr cure time...
Tips? Suggestions?

Thanks!

Does the baffle have to be "water tight" or if a little water leaks by is it ok? If so, you can just cut a baffle, split some 3/8" tubing and make a gasket on 3 sides and wedge fit it into the sump.

ooo! I like that idea. No it doesnt have to be water tight. I am just trying to keep the detritus to one main area for my skimmer feed pump verses the whole 6' sump.
