this was/is an acrylic tank.

B, think solid, if that float, floats, it'll tear that eggcrate. And Plexy NEVER GLUES OR SILICONES WELL TO GLASS. I used the dremmel to grind the hole for my first one, then siconed the glass 4x4 into the tank...

there are other ways to do it. that glass bit you can get at Menards though, or commin over.

The problem is its in another 10g tank, not fun to drill, and I don't know for sure what height it is suppose to be at, so I would like something that I could adjust the height on it.

any body else have Ideas? pics?

If your in the area, swing in, I'll make you 2 pvc plates that have a slot and nylon screw, ten you can addjust....

Didnt you notice that small clicking wheel on the side of the pivot? turn it one way, it forces the float down, meaning it maintains a lower water level, the otherway, an it relaxes it and allows for a higher level... why dont you experiment on an ice cream pail...

or look at mine, it maintains water about 1.5 inches loher than the swing arm.

Hey Jason, thankx for all your help, I have to go to my sister wedding this weekend and won't be back untill Sunday, so work will be on pause for awhile, but (Monday) I would be able to come over and we could work on some of my dilemas, If it works out for you.

Sure, just bring it along, we can proly fix both in about an hour, the hole and the float and the other drain hole. If you want. I have a bunch of glass I need to get rid of. Let me check what I have. I also have that diamond blade now, so I could cut the glass. Edges are rough though.
