I am in the planning process for a 300 star fire reef. 72 x 36 x 26 I am wondering if I will cause any damage or problems to the tank turning it on edge to get it down the stairs. This is the only way it would fit through the doorway. My other option is to build it on-site, but that would require a longer time for install and maintenance of my 135g inhabitants in storage tanks. Has anyone had experience with a situlation similar to this?

I think it would depend on having adequate bracing from the manufacturer but I had two custom tank builders give the thumbs up to turning a tank on it's side to allow for an external overflow. The dimensions of the tank I'm having built is a glass 72x30x28 and the external overflow is 6" off the back. Tank will be eurobraced.
