i mix my own saltwater and i was wondering if it was normal for the salt in my bucket to kinda block up/stick together? or should it be lose.

It's fine. That happens when the salt has been exposed to moisture. Thats why they put rice in salt shakers.

make sure you seal the bucket good with a hammer otherwise moisture will get in and the salt will clump up.
