Interested in joining club

Hi! I was in Coral Reef in Knoxville the other day talking to them about setting up my new tank, and they suggested I come by this forum and check it out. I'm very interested in joinging the ETRC. What's the best way to do that? Can I just come to a meeting a bring my dues with me at that time?

Just a little bit of background. I live in West Knoxville and work out in Oak Ridge. I had a 72 bowfront reef tank about 8 years ago and then got out of the hobby (moved, got married, all of that stuff that changed my financial situation!). Anyway, I'm now starting up a new tank and I'm very excited about it. It's going to be an Oceanic 58. I'm sure I'll have questions and things along the way, so a local reef club sounds absolutely great!

You can join in one of two ways:
come to a meeting and bring your form/dues there
mail me your form/dues

Totally up to you!

That's very nice of the Coral Reef to suggest you come here and talk to us...really great of them.

This is an awesome bunch of local reefers with a wealth of knowledge who are just waiting to share it and help out in any way possible.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll keep an eye out for the July meeting to see if I can make it.

And I just saw ct-vol/Randy's post that he's driving through Premium Aquatics next week and can possibly do a local pickup for people. Man, that is SO tempting to save on the shipping charges for the stuff I was planning to order from them anyway. I'll have to call him and see how large his vehicle is. And I hate to ask this, but since I don't really know any of you all (yet!), is Randy a known/reliable person around here? I'd love it if we can work something out where he could pick up some stuff for me, but I'd certainly feel more comfortable having someone I don't know pick up a large order for me if I had assurance from someone who knew him that he's a "good guy" and all that (not that I have ANY reason to believe that he isn't, just looking for someone who actually knows him and can vouch for it).

Yeah...Randy is super reliable. We really don't have any underhanded-types in the club so far.
