Hi,welcome to NCPARS.

The North Central Pennsylvania Aquarium Reef Society (NCPARS) is a charitable non-profit 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt corporation dedicated to the marine aquarium hobby.


NCPARS, INC. main goal is to educate the public and other aquarium enthusiasts about natural reef ecosystems and reefkeeping.


NCPARS is dedicated to the conservation of global reefs by educating the public as well as members, hold 2 frag swaps a year, propagation by its members, help local schools with their systems through the school program, learn from other members and their experiences.

Our Members comprise of locals as well as hobbyists from other states, clubs, and societies

Each year we hold two frag swaps where members trade corals, see presentations from experts in the field, see DoItYourself seminars, and share knowledge and stories about our experiences. We also participate in online discussions in our forums and on Reef Central. NCPARS also has other events as well as supports public education about saltwater aquaria through school programs!

we are a nice sized group of reef hobbist from the newie to many many years of experince.our swaps are in a different location each time rangeing from allentown, bethlehem area to the state college area which brings in a nice variation of corals and local support. our next swap is in the end of jan. at that fish place in lancaster.
 
Thank you Dan and Brad. I will be joining next week! I do not plan to set up a tank for about 12-18 months as things have changed in the past 10 years and I want to get caught up on all the new things and techniques with the hobby also finish what has to be done on the house.

Dan I think I read somewhere that you are from Wilkes-barre, I am in Nicholson (Lake Sheridan).

yes i am from WB,coming to the swap is a good idea if you can make it.we have speakers that give awesome seminars and you can chat with some of us and come up with a plan for your tank build.You will find we are a freindly group of coral freaks LOL
 
Dan, I hope to make it and start picking up some stuff. Before I do pick up stuff I do have alot of ??? I will post or send you a PM if I am going.
