I didnt want your post to go without any responses Ron. These discussions have been going on for a long time now and I for one like to see grown out colonies that are started as frags but I am also guilty of having way too many differant corals most of the time. LoL there all so pretty

Just wanted to share since it was a goo perspective since I was in the hobby 9-10 years ago when it was a different hobby.

I am for sure "new" to the hobby with just under 2 years.

I will have to say I really like the way grown out tanks look. I can also see how tank size will play a roll in how grow out the colonies can be, smaller tanks means fewer large colonies or more smaller colonies. there was awhile when my sand bed was littered with tiny frags and it just looked like a garbage dump until I started getting them mounted up on the rocks. now i can wait for them to sloooowly grow out.
