Interesting info on ph calibration solution

Was looking for some pinpoint ph calibration solution on amazon and the smallest amount of individual packets I could find was a 20 pack (10 7.0 and 10 10.0). So I asked what the shelf life of the packets was since that amount would last me at least a couple of years. The basic answer was the packets last nearly indefinitely, with a link to this video testing packets over 25 yrs old. https://youtu.be/ssUCtxBRT40

I would agree that packaged calibration solution has a significantly longer shelf life than bottled solution. Hopefully no one has anything out there 25 years old but if you do enjoy. I disagree with the two point calibration being the most accurate as a three point calibration using 4.0, 7.0 and 10.0 is most accurate. However, saltwater is typically higher than 7 so it is important that you at least calibrate between 7.0 and 10.0. You definitely want to calibrate your pH meter at a point above and below the expected value to assure accuracy.

Just my $0.02 after being gone for YEARS
