Hi Guys-

My name is Keith and I have been reefing for about a year and a half. This is actually my first tank, and am already thinking of upgrading. It is a standard 48" 55 gallon softie and lps tank. I have a 4X 65 watt PC lighting system from Aquatic Life. I use a fluval 305 canister filter for mechanical filtration will all slots full of carbon. I have a 10 gallon refugium and an ATS that i made from converting my sump. I use an Aqua C HOB skimmer as I did not have room in my sump. I made a bad choice in choosing a stand that did not allow for a proper sized sump.

Here is a video of my tank in HD.

The tank is about a year and a half old, and I am already looking at making it into a 90 gallon rimless mixed reef tank. I was planning on doing it around this time next year. What would your thoughts be around me adding a Juvi Chevron Tang to the tank knowing i'll be upgrading in a year or so?

Current stocklist is:

1 Flame Angel
2 Black and White Clowns
3 Red Firefish
1 Six Line Wrasse
1 Mandarin (I stock pods monthly)

lookin real nice! just out of curiousity, do you have any coralline algae growing on your rocks? seems like you have a lot growing on the glass but not so much on the rockwork...

yea, i have almost none on my rockwork it seems. It grows out of control on the rocks. I scrape the sides to try and get the coraline in the water stream and thus on my rocks. I want to keep the back glass covered because I like the look. Any suggestions on attracting coraline to your rocks?

The tank looks amazing man!!! I am by no means an expert but I don't think it would be that big of a deal to add the tang, that's a lot of money to be spending on a fish that may get really stressed though. But I would think it would be okay.
