I have a clown in a 75 gal that I have had for over a year, I would like to get another one or 2 even but don't know if it would be dangerous to introduce them seeing as the current one thinks she owns the tank...So if anybody has info on this I would love it! thanks

I beleive I have a false perc, and I'm wanting to add 2 true percs to it, she's about 2" long and is really dominant in the tank, her other mates in the tank are, 1 cardinal (PJ card), LMB and 4 green chromis'...anything else you need let me know!

You have an established clown and I don't think that will help. The prblem is you are introducing two new clowns. I would jsut introduce one new clown the same kind as the one already in their. Make sure he is smaller and then hey will pair off.

Make sure he is smaller and a juvenile or known male :D

If you add 2 juvenile percs, false or otherwise, the dominant of the two will become the mate of your bigger fish and the other will possibly be confined to a corner of the tank. Sometimes the "3rd wheel" is allowed near or on the anemone/ territory, but it's not something you can positively count on.

If you want 3, I think it's wiser to start with them all at once. I agree with hgbarwick - you'll probably be happier with adding just the one.

So I should find one false perc that is smaller and introduce that, if i wanted to add a perc would they still pair off? What about adding a black perc?

So I went out and did get the true perc, with a little bit of worry that the big false perc would pick on the little one, but to my delight they paired off right away and are now swimming together like love birds!!!

very very exciting for me, so it appears that I may have some ocellerais possible in the future!!! Thanks all for the information and the help!

Glad to see you only got one...Three would have been bad as two would pair up and the other most likely killed

I tried 4 in my old 125, had to remove two due to horrible aggression..there was going to be a fight to the death over who would be the females mate

Yeah I'm happy, and they are happy which is most important. Can't wait till the little guy gets a little bit bigger and they look more like a pair and not Momma and her son! lol

Thanks again everybody for all the great information and all the help!
