Introduction...

Hello AZ reefers...my name is Priyal. I've met quite a few of you over the last few years after being introduced to the hobby by my roommate Emil (fishysmell). After a year-long hiatus, we're back in the hobby. Some of you saw our 30g long reef tank, our peacock mantis tank, and 30g tall seahorse tank that we had before.

We currently have a 3g picotope that's been up for a couple of months and a bare bottom 30g Oceanic cube in the works (just filled with water last week). Pics to come, but more importantly I just wanted to re-introduce myself to those I know and introduce myself to those I don't.

Cheers,

-P

Welcome back welcome back! Those 3g picotopes are a real challenge! Post a picture of yours! Reef Monsters has one on their counter that I *really* dig, did a great job with it. Next time I'm there I'll snag a picture.

Sounds like you're into keeping some interesting livestock, plans for a new mantis tank anytime soon?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are some pics of tanks, past and present:

From the last few years (no longer running):

30g long mixed reef:

30g seahorse (4 ORA yellow kudas) and mated pair of harlequin shrimp, and a video of when we introduced the harlequins and they accepted one another:

Very cool moment caught on video of when we introduced the male harlequin to the female...A really neat ritual with some dancing and she presented him with the chocolate chip star she had been eating. And that was it...mated for life!:

30g long mantis tank (juvenile)- sorry I only had the one crappy video:

New tanks:

3g picotope (got the duncans and mis-bar clowns from that great pico that reef monsters has on their counter), plus a tiny black urchin, some nassarius, and a little cleaner shrimp:

Just set up in the last couple of weeks: bare bottom 30g oceanic cube (intend to do mixed reef):

That pretty much sums up what we've done in the hobby since jumping back in about 3 years ago...hope you enjoyed the pics.

Watching your harlequins pair was AWESOME! I have a large lone female in my mixed reef, waiting on any of the local shops to score a purple/yellow male from Hawaii.

Thank you! We originally were sold two females, and had to re-home one. Luckily enough, a fellow reefer had two males so we were able to trade.

Good luck on finding one!
