Invasion of the Mojanos

Need a little help and ideas for dealing with these things. They started out as 4 or 5 on a piece of coral I traded and I thought they were neat but they are like rabbits. SOoooooooo anyone battled them before and have good ways to get rid of them.

Thanks for the help
Brent

I've wiped out a handful by squirting a pasty mix of kalk into them with a syringe. Not safe to do with fish, or for a bunch of them at a time - fish can eat the flakes of the Kalk or you can over do it and change the pH of the system.

my buddy used dentists picks and took them out one by one rock by rock...poke them with the hook and hold it there for a second they let go pretty quick...

I have a filefish that eats them. I found the commercial aiptasia stuff doesnt' play ball with majanos :(

I'm surprised it didn't work for you, chrisstie. That's what I used to get rid of my majano infestation. Doesn't bother anyone in the tank and does the job with a shot or two.

question on the majanos if you had an infestation of this and just remove the rocks that are covered with it and let the rock say die can you reintroduce the rock at a later date and time and not have a reaccourance. Guess my question is if i take the rock out and let it dry out / die off and months later put it back in tank will they reapear from that rock?

They will definately not reappear on said rock.

glad to hear that they will "not" appear.... they were a nasty little pest... I still see the little black spot on the rocks where they were. hope you are right and they dont come back... been dried out for like eight months....
