inventing zoas

Hi im new to the zoas domaine, i was just wondering if it was possible to invent/create a new type of zoanthide in a home aquarium. Sort of like cross breeding.

Sort of, depending on a few things most importantly lighting zoas/palys can morph if it happens to be something else that is new than you have "created" a new paly/zoa. The other way is to go collecting and bring something entirely new back from the wild

I recomend, being new to focus on getting your zoas to survive/thrive before doing anything else. Its a challenge in itself for someone just starting out.'

If you cant get them to thrive and survive, you wont be able to do anything, let alone create new types of zoanthids- even if thats possible compared to whats already been done/tried the last 5 years or so.

If you really want to exeriment though- I recommend finding similar "types" of polyps and letting them grow into each other. See what happens.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
