I'm going to be setting up a temporary 10g QT for corals and inverts. My question is, should it be cycled and with water from the DT or can I have it with just fresh saltwater like I usually do for fish? If cycled I was planning on throwing some sponges in my sump to be used in the QT, but if that's the case, wouldn't I be better off making it a permanent QT rather than a temporary one?
