If you don't have sand or rock in the tank, why not just run the RO directly to the tank? Then you can dump some salt in and mix it right there.

How bad does it smell.. I had no issues with the drums, I just rinsed them out. Didn't really smell them afterwards.. What did Roy do?

They smell pretty bad. Its not really the smell that bothered me it was the taste.

Im following roy's suggestion of muriatic acid.

The muriatic acid did the trick! They just smell like plastic now. Tank is filliling slowly but surely.
