Inwall Questions??

Will,

What brand floor paint epoxy did you use? Is it water or oil based.

I used Rustoleum about two years ago. Now I'm going back and doing the whole room. I thought I used oil based, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm scared if I put water over oil, is might not stick.

Kyle, I used Rustoleums Two part Epoxy Garage floor paint. Its water based. I've been very happy with it.. I painted my shop floor with it last year.. It held up well so I painted the big garage with it before I built my room.. The only thing is they have a non skid stuff you can add to the paint.. I wish I would have added it cause when I get saw dust in my shop that floor is like ice.

Hey, Everyone Thought I post a little update,

My skimmer came in a while back about 4 days after the meeting. It took forever to get. Its a H&S A200 External 1260. I've been very happy with it so far. I also got My Kalk Stirrers in Today. I also had to wait a little while for these things to get instock. I got two Aqua Medic Kalkwasser Stirrer 1000. One for Each system. They are made alot like the Deltec stirrers but for half the price:). They seem to be pretty well made.

i would advise your frog not to go swimming in the skimmer though, he looks interested (pic1)

Hey buzzbait, if Will had that skimmer it would have an awesome oak cover that would retract into the ceiling.:)

Hey Will!
I have found the skimmer you NEED!

I got this pic off of scothew's gallery he takes awsome pics.

Wow...Hate to clean that one. LOL and if I had to pay for that thing there is no way I'd cover it up.. It would probably be beside the display

No technically, unless you live in a REALLY big house, that skimmer would be outside since it was around 20ft tall, possibly more :p

I took that pic at Ripley's Aquarium Of The Smokies in Gatlinburg TN.

Got a New toy in this afternoon! Most of you know I've used Aquacontrollers for a couple years now. I've had a Aquacontroller 2 and a Aquacontroller JR. Well since I built the room my 92 gallon system hasn't had a controller on it. I decided to get a Aquacontroller 3 plus their expansion box. So now My AQ3 will controll both my 180 system and my 92 gallon system with one controller! The other really neat thing about it is a ran a eithernet cable to the fish room so now my Tanks are internet ready :). I can check there status via our home network. Flip things on and off change my program for all the equipment , veiw the data log. It tracks the temp, ph orb whats turned on and off and at what time it did it, and records it to a log. Ofcourse my AQ2 did all this except it didn't have an either net port or built in server.. I'm working on setting it up so I can access it from the net. That way I can check on the tanks if we are out of town or just from the office.. Its pretty kewl toy:rollface:

I mounted it in the display room so I dont have to walk into the garage to turn pumps off or just to check on the tanks. I still need to build a wood cabinet to go around it so it doesn't look so tacky

I use GoToMyPC to get to my computer when I'm out of town. I can do anything from a hotel that I could do if I were sitting in front of my computer except something like change DVDs. All you need is an Internet connection.

How do you access the controller when you are inside your network? If you just put in an IP address, you can find out the port it is on, and do port forwarding through your router. So basically you would open IE, put in your home IP address and the port, and when it hits your router, it will redirect it to the specified address at that port.

Im not familiar with the actual controller you are using, but if it works like most other network appliances, it shouldnt be hard to do :)

Exactly right. Thats how it works. I played with it last night a little bit. I'm on Satilite internet since I live in the country and both my Satilite modem and my router are DHCP servers. I'ver never tried to setup up access to a network device over the internet before. I really didnt' get to play with it much by the time I ran all the wires and got everything running it was pretty late. I plan on working on it tonight..

Well I could setup a webpage to display the information.. But the way it will work once I set up my router. I simply Type in the address and the login page for the AQ3 pulls up. Enter my username and password then I get full access to the AQ3. So I can see whats going on with the tanks but I can also turn things off and on if I want. View the log for that day ect.

ugg good luck with the satellite. We have Direcway satellite here at home (since we live in the sticks as well) and i've never been able to get things like my remote desktop to work. I set it up through my router like I normally would, and then try to access it through the satellite and I just never see the public IP that my satellite modem has. They have some funky routing out there in space or something :p

if you make any progress, lemme know, or if you wanna brainstorm any problems, lemme know as well, cause i am right there with ya.
