Iodine Dip Gone Wrong?

2 days ago I did an Lugols idodine dip on my zoa frags and they are worse now than they were when I dipped them. I followed instructions to the letter any idea what happened? They won't open now and I'm concerned because all I wanted to do was help them.

Any chance something else is going on? Also check the rubber squeese cap of the lugols, the iodine wrecks the cap, the lugols dries up and makes it super concentrated. If its intact post a little more about your system and how things are testing out. Any cyano, new bulbs, new or upgraded power heads, etc?

Why did you want to dip them? Was there something wrong with them that made you decide to do this?
