Ok, got some (Seachem brand)
the bottle says on the back that "Iodine is as toxic as chlorine and should never be used in a reef system"
What gives or am I reading this wrong?
the stuff i use is reef safe iodiDe. theres a difference. look at the link in my last post and read the info provided there. hope it helps. dont use the iodiNe untill you are sure.
The description on the bottle starts with "Reef Iodide is a concentrated stabilized potassiun iodide source for reef aquaria that will restore..........."
I figured that it is reef safe, or no?
also says"will not convert to toxic free iodine under storage or reef conditions"
if it says that on your bottle than it should be reef safe. i looked at fosters and only saw seachem iodiDe. maybe what you read about iodiNe being unsafe was a warning to not try and use it.
