What are you guys using? I'm thinking about getting one for upstairs and downstairs. Want to be able to keep an eye on it while I'm in Europe this summer.

Foscam. 8918. Wireless and can be added in inn the future if you want to. Easy to set up forwarding through your router also

I have a dropcam on the tank right now and really like it. I also have 2 of the tenvis cameras from Amazon for about $50. I had one hooked up but havent reconfigured it to my new router. You have to open a port in your router for it, but wasn't that hard to do. Mine seemed to reset every now and then to a default position. you can control the direction of it from your phone so that didn't bother me.

I agree with the foscam option tho maybe not the model. Need to look at them and see what you want in a camera. I like the two way radio feature for a tank monitor. The reason to have a camera is you aren't home. Unless you just want to see the main display you are watching for problems. When a problem comes up, it is nice to be able to look at the camera and talk to someone while they can talk back with hands free and hopefully help with the problem. I also prefer things that can be are hard wired, but I don't have the typical home network architecture.

If you have a decent old android you can use that.
Install the app "IP Webcam". IME it's been the same quality as a $75 ip cam.
