Strombus Grazers, Sand Clams & Nerite Snails
These guys were in some pretty mucky water and I really thought they were dead; but just like the worms, after warming up they started to stir. The clams disappeared into the sand pretty quickly once they were added to the tank, which was fun to watch! (You can see some reaching out with their white feet in the pics below.) The nerite snails continued to play dead all day until the nightlights came on.
Amphipods
I was fully expecting these to be the same as the tiny white pods I see on the glass... but they're HUGE! I never knew pods could get so large!!
I turned off the return pump and tipped them all onto my "faux chaeto."
Then I added a pinch of Pod Flakes...
I left the return off for ~10mins to let the pods get settled. When I turned it back on I didn't see any pods (or bits of pods!) being blasted through the return, so I guess the shower poufs work!
