I have a 55 gallon tank with a few flouresants and a 250 watt 10k XM metal halide. will that high of a light damage the nem? should i invest in 20k?

acclimate him and he should be fine. if you place him lower in the tank to begin he will mostly acclimate himself by moving behind a rock or moving up. while BTA's can survive with less light than other hosting anemones they don't mind catching some serious rays too :)

agreed..

The Nem will go where it wants. The XM MH is fine. If it needs more light it will sun itself accordingly. But typically shade it's foot under a rock or ledge.
