Is a certain small amount of stray voltage normal?

Just so you guys know. A ground probe is not good if you don't have a gfci. A ground probe essentially will just complete a circuit on a regular cicuit breaker and it won't trip until the current is exceeded. 30amps through your tank??? That sounds scary. As randy said though. A ground probe is a GREAT addition if you have a GFCI so it can detect a much smaller leakage. Cheers

Just an example of waters own potential charge if you put it in a cylinder then make a vortex so it is spinning and place metal rods around it they will build up enough charge from the rotating water to give you a pretty good jolt.
