Is a compartment necessary for 9002?

I have a 20 gallon tank can I just stick the 9002 inside would adjustment needed every 2 or 3 days?

or should I go with a 9005 instead.

Mostly frag corals and a pair of clowns.

Thanks any advice would be greatly appreciated

The 9002 would be fine and doesn't need a compartment but more than 1/2" of water level fluctuation will affect skimmer performance. On such a small tank though this same fluctuation would also have an affect on SG so it would be ideal to use some sort of top off system to keep fluctuation to a minimum.
