Is a dart enough for an OM8 in a 300 gal?

...or should I go with a hammerhead? I'm putting together equipment for a large tank and have a chance to get a used hammerhead for a good price.
Will the hammerhead just be crazy overkill?

not sure if this helps but i run 2 darts with 4/ways on my 375 flow is really good ypu might want to ask paul at ocean motion..

Dart will be too small. My buddy runs a Dart Gold on his 225 gallon reef and it just nice.

But if you are running an 8-way you are losing more head pressure. You need a bigger pump. Go for the hammerhead.
