Is any type of clam possible in JBJ nanocube?

I'm just getting back into the hobby, and have been setting a 24G JbJnanocube. It has the stock 72W of PC lighting, and I'm wondering if there's any type of clam that the lighting in the top of the tank would be enough to keep it colorful .

The tank has been going pretty good for a couple months and I feel the need to muck it up:)

It's funny how so many advise newbies to stay away from clams if they have anything less than MH or high kelvin lighting. You'll find many reefers with the 'no-no' stuff, thriving under PC, T5, and VHO.

The lighting of the latest JBJ nanocubes should be efficient enough even for a crocea (since depth isn't much of an issue). It would be more important to maintain calcium and alkalinity levels, as a clam will quickly absorb trace elements in such a small environment. Something I feverishly kept track of when I kept a crocea in a half gallon pico.

the hardest part about the nano wouldn't necessarily be the lighting, but keeping all of your levels in check, and keeping the water parameters as constant as possible, which could definitely be an issue in a smaller tank like that one

Cool beans, so what would be the heartyist clam? The derasa or the squamosa?

and what do they eat? and high hugh up in the tank do I stick em?

Thanx

I have a derasa that has been quite easy to keep. Just add some calcium and DT's phytoplankton every now and then. We also kept a derasa in a 12g JBJ deluxe cube at the store. It was fine without any additives.
