I was just wondering if anyone else was allergic to shellfish. It hasn't caused me any issues with the hobby. I just make sure I rinse my hands every time I do anything with the tank and especially after feedings.
You shouldn't have any problems unless you ingest them. BTW don't take any nutritional supplements with glucosamine/chondroitin as it is derived from shellfish.
