Is clam ok after light change?

I just upgraded tanks 2 weeks ago. In doing so i went from a 250w 14k MH to a 6-54w T5 TEK fixture. I have lost all my SPS save for 2 which are oddly fine, and i think it all has to do with the change in light. My zoos and LPS are all fine.

My clam has not acted any differently than it has the year and a half i've had it. Currently its about half way up my 75gal tank on a tray, since i'm lacking LR currently. The light sits 5" above the tank. I don't know if clams bleach from too much light or how they decline. I wanted to put up a few pics to be sure mine is doing ok. Specifically this area right by the incurrent siphon where it shows some white color instead of blue.

Thanks for your time.

from those pics it looks ok. What bulbs do you have in the t-5's?

how did you acclimate the tank to the new lighting?

you say you have no live rock in the tank, are you doing large, frequent water changes?

I have LR, just the rock that was in my 29gal. I have 3 D&D actinic, 2 D&D aquablue and 1 GE 6500 daylight bulb.

The clam reacts fine. Just that crease where the mantle folds to the middle of the clam is white. It looks like creases we get in our hands.

I put the clam at the bottom of the tank for 4-5 days. Then brought it up 6" while raising the light 2". I also lowered the photo period by 2 hrs.

i could see the crease in the photo but it just looks like a part of the mantle that hasn't been getting light(even before the switch)

If you lost nearly all your SPS, I would speculate you shifted lights too quickly. Just do it gradually and incrementally- all the inverts will be fine with reduced lighting for a short while.

maybe try a few less blue bulbs and a couple more daylight. i'm not sure if its the same as MH that the higher the blue the less the par?

I did swap out one actinic for the daylight bulb. I think it was too much light too quickly as jmaneyapanda says. I just wanted some reassurance that the clam looked ok.
