Is dosing Seachem "Stability" in a QT undergoing cupramine treatment worthwhile?

Will it improve water quality, or will the bacteria just die off from the copper too quickly? If I saturate my filter media with it, will it help?

This is kind of a generic answer; you'll get more help with specifics. Tank size? What are you trying to kill or prevent? What is in your QT now? Any fish in obvious distress? What is your bio-filter status/ plan? Do you have media that has been cycled in your DT (or any tank with a food source for at least 3-4 weeks?

Cupramine will not kill off a bio-filter and usually works best without any additional meds, additives, conditioners, etc. SeaChem has a great web site, the FAQ are essential reading. http://www.seachem.com/Products/product_pages/Cupramine.html

Its an uncycled 55g QT and biofilter is non-existent. All I have is filter floss. My understanding is that LR/substrate is pointless in a copper treated QT.

I use fritzyme and saturate my filter sponges every 2 to 3 days the first week and the 1 time a week there after with a pour no measure . I do not use the reccomended dose as that would be to much of a bioload if they did die and there isno substrate .The filter sponges catches most bacteria and they grow. They will enter the water column from there. I dont have ammonia or nitrite issues. In this way nitogen cycle happens rapidly since the new bacteria added will act upon nitrite as it appears. I siphon the bare bottom as needed. My WATER TEMPS RANGE FROM 82 TO 86 DEPENDING ON WHICH WEEK OF QT. i use copper power which is chealated and therefore has little or no appreciable impact on biological filtration.

Stability is actually a totally different bacteria than what naturally occurs in an aquarium. It will work well if dosed daily through out treatment but will not colonize long term. Dr. Tims one and only and Instant Ocean bio spira only need a single dose and will colonize since they are natural nitrifying bacteria. I suggest not adding any copper till 3 days after dosing when using the last two.
