is Formalin 3 reef safe

Hi, I need to know is Formalin 3 reef safe. time is not on my side, one of the new fish i introduced yesterday has some white spot on it body today. please help, if it is safe I will put add formalin in now. I do not have a hospital tank, so I am gonna add it straight into my display tank. I have some softies and Lps. any info will be helpful. thnks

the bottle does not say but i am going to say no.

do it as a dip and rinse the fish by dipping in tank water before returning.

also it will not cure ich only flukes or velvet.

Formalin should not be placed in a reef tank.

The two most effective cures for marine ich are hyposalinity and copper ... both should be used in a QT tank.

thanks for the infos, guys. I have bought a new reef safe treatment called ich attack. it is 100% organic and safe for reef. that is what the company said.

never used it but i have heard it is 100% ineffective as well.

i really would suggest hypo or copper.

proper q/t of all new fish is a god send trust me.
