I have been looking at the prices of these buggers and wondered if it's a dyi project? I have never seen one in real life and wanted to know how hard it would be?
I bought your old calcium reactor from Ronnie. One chamber will be for carbon, the other for phosban or similar. I am in the process of re-plumbing the whole thing.
I am not sure one could save much money building one. They are pretty great little devices for such a low cost. I put one on my 55g tank a while back and have been so happy that I am going to include one on my 47g tank that I am setting up in Dallas.
Maybe I looked at the wrong retailers. They all were over 70 bucks. I love Phosguard but I don't know how to make it work in my sump. Thanks for the input.
Except that is the same price and HIGHER shipping then you would pay on Marine Depot, and probably other online vendors. And with the eBay guy, no real warrenty, etc.
