Is it possible to have multiple mantis in a tank?

I have a 33 gallon long refugium with a P. Ciliatain Pictures here there and was wondering if more than one of these fascinating little creatures can live in harmony.

Generally, no. In specific instances mated pairs can live together, but in all likelihood one will kill others unless the tank is Really Big.

I think I remember Dr. Roy saying that P. Ciliatia naturally prey on smaller mantis shrimp in the wild, so I wouldn't try it.

most stomatopods will prey on smaller ones i can guarentee it, i dont know about a ciliatia as they are spearers and dont have the power to crush the shell of another mantis
