Is it safe to use copper in the DT?

Happy New Year everyone.

I have started 2020 with not so great news.
This morning I spotted my two tangs with white tiny spots white stains on their fins. Also my Blenny was scratching himself in the sand. :/
That leads me to think of at least ICHbut I am expecting the worse, Marine Velvet.
Anyway, since I do not have a QT tank large enough for all my fish, I was thinking of removing all my live rock, sand, media and store them into plastic containers with water, heater and powerhead while I treat all my fish in my bare glass DT with Cupramine for 4 weeks.
Then after the 4 weeks period, dump 3/4 of the DT's water and then a week later bring all my live rock, sand and media back.

Would that be a safe procedure or will CP compromise my DT with copper for good?

You need a test kit for copper to validate your system is clean once complete. Need to do some research on ich as well, will lay dormant for some time and might be on your rock and substrate if I remember correctly. What changes that caused the ich? Did you QT all fish going in with copper to ensure ich free before adding to your DT tank?

Thanks to your response!
To be safe I will wait the recommend 76 days to deal with ICH before I move the live rock, sand and media back to my DT.
It started after I added a coral frag to the DT without quarantine it.
Rookie mistake :/

When you complete the treatment and start diluting the copper back out of the DT you need to be careful. Dropping 3/4 of the water will reduce the copper 75% of your peak level. You need to do the dilution math to see if this is sufficient to be safe for your corals. You might consider dropping 3/4, adding only 1/4, then dropping out 1/4 then filling up to get a net ~85% reduction in copper. The change could also be hard on the fish.

Does no one not know that once you add copper to a tank that tank is no longer reef safe. Copper will bind to the silicon of the tank. Your best bet is to take fish out of display and setup a qt for the fish. Then leave the display fish less for the recommended time for the ich to run its cycle.

If you live in socal I have a 55 gallon aio tank you can have to treat the fish

Thanks for offering your tank, but I over than 1k miles away...
I was able to got a 55g getting ready for QT now.
I found out Petco is open today.
Is Cupranime good and safe to treat ich or even velvet?
Would you increase the temperature to 82F to speed the cycle of the parasite and lower salinity to safe levels i.e. 1.015 to assist the treatment?

...Would you increase the temperature to 82F to speed the cycle of the parasite ...
That would actually be a bad idea as it decreases the oxygen in the water and makes breathing harder for the fish - which may already have impaired oxygen uptake due to infections of their gills.

...lower salinity to safe levels i.e. 1.015 to assist the treatment?
This, on the other hand, would be helpful as it increases the oxygen solubility of the water and decreases the energy the fish has to put into osmoregulation.
