is it that simple? Storm Controller

I have a Storm controller running the Aurora puck...well, not running yet as it hasn't arrived. The fan I have for the heat sink is a two wire fan. After talking with RapidLED, they suggested getting the Coralux fan power PWM board and using that to control the fan. I watched a few videos on how to set the board up, but all the fans used were 3 or 4 wire, unlike the 2 wire fan I have. From what I can see, I have two options. First is to just take a 12v power supply and hard wire the fan. I could even put a wall timer on it so it only runs when the puck is running (I do plan on having the blues run as moonlights, but they will be below 1% so they shouldn't produce much heat). I could have the fan come on about 30 minutes before the lights start to ramp up, and run for another 30-60 minutes after the lights dim down. Might be the simplest way of doing things. The other option is to purchase the controller board and wire the fan into it. More complicated, but more control. Any suggestions on which option to go with, or reasons I should/shouldn't go one way? Link below of the fan I'll be using. The LED setup is a combination of the RapidLED puck and Steve'sLED heat sink.
