Added some coral to my tank a few weeks ago, foolishly did not dip them. Think I spotted a tiny spit of aiptasia. Would pulling it out and dipping help? Or once it's in... it's in???

If it's truly aiptasia sp anemones dipping them in anything that wouldn't kill the coral too is a waste of time. My favored method of destruction, especially if they are few in number, is to fill a small syringe with boiling water and cook them where they sit. I have found that method to be 100% effective. It has the added benefit of not adding anything to your tank.

IME scraping them off can actually cause them to spread even faster if you miss even the smallest amount of tissue.

syringe with boiling water -- worked great for me and I had a bunch, even large ones, in a tank that was given to me because the owner gave up on it

I always use aptasia x but even though it does kill them they always seem to come back a couple weeks later in the same places. I am going to try the boiling water & see if it takes them out for good
