Is Metronidazole Reef Safe?

do not dose flagyl into a reef tank. it is an antibiotic. it will kill at least a significant portion of the bacteria in and on your live rock. this will result in the death of your rock and will crash your nitrogen cycle. that is why you dont dose abx into your tank.

It depends on what your definition of "reef safe" is, but generally, no, it's not...

It might also help if explained what you're trying to accomplish by dosing the metronidazole.

Also, hopefully there are some sort of directions you're following and you're not using some that was prescribed for you (esp as you should have finished the antibiotic course anyways).
