hi all,

i got a BTA yesterday i think it's ok but not sure...

it has gone behind the rocks and the teticles are really thin, the mouth is closed tightly which is a good sign i surpose, and it retracted into a ball when i accidently touched it so another good sign.

but im abit worried about the thin tenticles why are they thin?

please reply ASAP

Michael

it will take awhile for it to adjust to the new tank. how long has your tank been set up? a tank that has been set up for 6 months to a year is the best to add anemones. my bubble tip took 1 month before it came out of the crevice it was hiding in. it still go back from time to time. my tank has been set up for over two years.

i assume all water parameters are OK?

as mzeinstr stated, a few more details on your system, including parameters, lighting, and flow, would be helpful here. my BTA sometimes gets "stringy" towards the end of the day sometimes showing that it has consumed enough light energy and also it s just an acclimation technique. it will take time for the bta to find a spot it likes, given stable water quality, and then generally once it is done it will be fine.
