I've had this bubble coral in my tank for 5 or 6 months now and added the bubble tip anemone a month or two ago. Of course the BTA didn't stay where I put it, but he moved to this spot within the first day or two and had been here ever since.
The BTA has also grown a decent amount since I got him and I'm starting to get a bit concerned about his proximity to the bubble coral. The bubble coral is 3-4 inches in diameter, the base of the BTA is about 2 inches in diameter and as the current blows its tentacles around they get within an inch or an inch and a half of the bubble coral.
So far I'm not seeing any signs of damage on the coral or the BTA, but I'm afraid that they are getting too close. Is this something I should be concerned about? Should I move the coral or get a powerhead or something to try to encourage the anemone to move?
