Is my bubble coral sick?

Every night right before the lights turn off my bubble coral shrinks back into its skeleton and looks terrible. The next day looks fine like nothing happened. Is this normal?

I think it's Normal. Mine does the same thing at night. It'll have its feeder tentacles out at night too

Guess it just went through a cycle. Back to normal now.

He looks very good. The fact that he closes up "before" you turn off the lights could be such things as he has gotten something to eat and is closing up to digest, or he has had enough light for the day, or one of your fish has bumped into him, perhaps during a feeding. Regardless he comes back strong the next day which great. You could try moving him if this concerns you.

That is what was throwing me off. Its normal for him to close up after the lights shut off. Then about an hour later comes back out feelers wild. But there was a few days where he would close up a half hour before lights out. Anyway, back to normal and noticeably growing daily. Getting its color back slowly from the move.

My bubble closes up at night and remains like that as long as the lights are off. It expands like yours after lights are on for a while.

mine always close up at lights off, and then opens up while they're on as well.
